A HEART IN WINTER tells the story of Stephane and Maxime, who run a renowned violin making and repair business. One fateful day Maxime introduces his business partner to Camille, an accomplished violinist he has been seeing. Camille is instantly attracted to the enigmatic and introverted Stephane, who seems to share the same attraction but is incapable of expressing any emotion. Convinced that she can break his cold exterior Camille becomes obsessed. Soon all three of them are set on a tragic collision course. Claude Sautet's delicate melodrama examines the emotions and consequences of a love Triangle and features superlative performances from Emmanuelle Beart and Daniel Auteil.
